How would you like to put your skills to use making other peoples lives better?
Thalamos are changing the way we care for those with Mental Illness. We are looking for someone who can bring their tech skills to bear on one of the greatest challenges in healthcare.
Everyone is affected by Mental Illness, either directly or in-directly, few have the opportunity to do something meaningful about it. This is exactly that opportunity.
We are a for profit social impact business with big plans. We’re looking for a technology lead to join our team, building on our outsourced relationships and working with the extended team to define and deliver our technology strategy.
Thalamos’ first solution supports patients receiving treatment under the Mental Health Act, those who’ve been “sectioned”. From this base there is huge opportunity to revolutionise the care patients receive.
The Head of Engineering role will assume responsibility for Software Development. Working with the Founders, our medical advisors, commercial advisors and partners as well as doctors and patients to deliver our product roadmap.
The role with Thalamos is for someone who is, and enjoys being, a very hands-on technician. Someone with the breadth of skillsets to code as well as manage others to deliver and who has an interest in both product and business roadmaps. Ideally a full stack developer with demonstrable experience working with the components of Thalamos’ stack.
We are looking for someone who understands the challenges and opportunities of a Start-Up and who is motivated by delivering a step-change in Mental Healthcare.

Before founding Thalamos, Arden spent 12 years building teams for investor backed businesses and working with some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and private equity investors. It was Arden’s close connections to the medical sphere that opened his eyes to the chronic lack of support psychiatrists receive and the vital need for change. This led him to found Thalamos to help these doctors better help their patients and support society’s improved mental health awareness with the improved healthcare desperately needed.
